Starting Out and Foundation Training

Join us for an immersive 9-day clinic designed for horses and riders at all levels. Whether you’re starting a young horse, bringing one back into work, addressing behavioural challenges, or refining performance, this clinic provides individualised training and expert guidance to set you and your horse up for success.

Led by Simon Fielder, the clinic focuses on trust, communication, and understanding the horse’s perspective. The unique format includes two weekends of hands-on participation for owners, with private training sessions for horses during the week. This structure ensures consistent progress for both horse and rider.​

What’s Included?​

• 9 days of training: 4 days of owner participation (weekends) + 5 days of private training with Simon (weekdays).

• Groundwork & ridden exercises: developing confidence, responsiveness, and balance.

• Tailored problem-solving: addressing individual challenges with practical solutions.

• Small group size (max 6 horses): ensuring personalised attention and hands-on learning.

• Fence-sitting available: observe and learn for a daily rate.

Clinic Format​

First Weekend: Groundwork & Foundation Training

• Building trust, confidence, and communication on the ground.

• Preparing horses for ridden work (as appropriate)

Monday – Friday: Private Training Sessions

• Simon works one-on-one with each horse to reinforce learning and develop key skills

Second Weekend: Ridden Work & Refinement

• Owners apply groundwork principles under saddle

• Tuition on body control, softness, balance, and responsiveness

 

Investment & Booking​
