Simon Fielder Horsemanship offers a range of professional training services, specialising in starting young horses, retraining and working with performance horses facing behavioural challenges.

At the core of Simon’s training philosophy is the belief that for a horse to truly understand, they must first feel safe, connected, and focused. By creating an environment where horses are comfortable directing their thoughts and energy toward their rider, they can engage with confidence and willingness.

For this connection to develop, calm, consistent guidance is essential. Simon works to establish trust and understanding, providing horses with a ‘safe zone’ — a place where they can seek comfort and direction when feeling anxious or uncertain. Through this approach, horses learn to regulate their emotional state, relax, respond, and thrive, setting the foundation for lasting success.

As an added option for longer-term training plans, Simon offers clients the opportunity to complete an Induction Evaluation, assessing where their horse currently stands in learning the fundamentals of horsemanship. This helps Simon gain insight into the client's perspective, clarify training expectations, and tailor the approach accordingly. It also serves as a valuable benchmark, allowing progress to be measured at the end of the training period.
